Rose is a great midwife. She first visited our home and met my family when I was a few weeks pregnant with our second child. Our first child’s birth had been a traumatic experience for my husband and I due to an unplanned cesarean in the hospital. My husband and I wanted a different experience this time around, and so we had a lot of questions which Rose was able to answer very well.
Rose’s overall vibe is very warm, loving, and caring. You can tell from the moment you meet her that she is an overall kind hearted, spiritually and mentally strong woman who makes you feel safe and empowered yourself. Her guidance and care helped me overcome any fears and anxieties I had about laboring and delivering at home, especially since I was a VBAC and my previous doctor had told me that I would never be able to deliver vaginally. Rose’s patience and motivating words throughout my labor and delivery is what gave me the strength and confidence to push through and deliver my baby. She believed in me from the beginning.
Not only is she compassionate, but also her level of expertise is profound. I admire the confidence she has in women’s bodies to be able to complete the physiological process necessary to give birth. When I began to have contractions, Rose visited me and called to check on me several times. The day our daughter was born she arrived at six in the morning, stayed with me all day and never left my side. After I delivered my daughter, Rose stayed with me for several more hours in order to ensure that baby and I were healthy and safe. Although she had left in the wee hours of the night, she still returned the next day to check on me and baby, as well as the following day, and the next day, and the next, and still called the days after that. Her level of care went above and beyond any level of care I’ve ever received from any doctor, especially from an OB /GYN.
My husband and I were lucky to have found Rose, and we love that she was a part of a very special moment in our lives. When you hire Rose you are not only gaining a midwife, but you are gaining a friend. We cannot thank her enough.

We met Rose after my wife was pregnant with our second child. Our first child was born via caesarean section, and was a very traumatic experience where my wife labored on hospital-pushed drugs, did not hold her baby directly after birth, and we were deprived of our child moments after birth for several hours. The entire process did not last long, but we were very much bystanders in a flurry of interactions between our baby and complete strangers.
Initially, I was apprehensive about hiring a midwife since this would be a VBAC, which is considered a risky procedure, and more so outside of the safety of a hospital. Later, the doctors that examined my wife would concur on this negative perception. Each meeting my partner and I had more questions for Rose, but each time, we were able to get all of the information we needed and answers to all of our questions, even if we hadn’t asked them yet.
Over time, Rose’s compassion and professionalism gave us the confidence to go through the entire labor process at home with ease. Each step was carefully and caringly explained while she performed them, keeping us aware of what was occurring and what to expect next. I especially appreciated how Rose actively included me in the labor process, encouraged us to remain strong, and gave us the space to progress.
We had a beautiful baby girl and we were together after her birth. Overall, our second child’s birth was a complete reversal of our first child’s birth. We only wish that more people could experience the beauty of childbirth, correctly, with a midwife who has the care and patience to go through labor with your family.
